From 2011 the Leidsesquare became a nightclub richer, for locals ‘The Soos’. If you’re into hip-hop, R&B and future beats, this is the place to be every night of the week. From Monday Mule where you can drink fancy cocktails with old skool hip-hop and R&B, Super Social on Thursdays where you can win a spot on the Instagram with the #outfitoftheweek and on Sundays you can cure your hangover in the bar area.

Melkweg means Milkyway. So let’s get spacy in this former sugar refinery and milk factory behind Leidsesquare. Here you will find this pop venue with a lot of purposes. You can find live music, photography, film and festivals, but most important are its club nights. With their Techno Tuesday they offer a stage to the greatest DJs every week. This music venue next to Leidsesquare offers a stage to the greatest artists in their big hall where they can fit 1500 people but still guarantee great acoustics! Besides the best concerts, from James Morrison to Norah Jones to local artists from Amsterdam, it also offers a large range of parties at night from rock, to R&B, to rap to folk and so on. Shake what ya momma gave ya!

If you’re looking for something complete different than techno or house music, and you want to have a full night of booty shaking, let’s go to the Caribbean at the Brasil Bar! For more than 20 years they host the greatest parties from Wednesday till Sunday, and surprise! Every third Saturday of the month they are open from 10PM until 7AM! Dance all night long on these African, Brazilian, Bachata, Reggaeton music!


Floating on Air

AIR in general is one of the most innovative locations in Amsterdam. Before AIR opened its doors, Club IT was the main spot to go at Rembrandtsquare. AIR doesn’t have a specific focus group but wants to offer a night out for everybody! Whatever you’re looking for, AIR offers it. Think about great names as Tiësto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike but also theme parties with Halloween and every week their ‘dondAIRdag’. Walking distance from Rembrandtsquare, you will find the Supperclub. Besides a great restaurant where you can have dinner on the most comfortable beds, yes beds!, you can experience a memorable night out. Right in the middle of Rembrandtsquare you will find Escape, one of Amsterdam’s largest and most popular nightclubs since 1986! Escape is a multi-spaced venue with Escape Club, which is the main hall with the biggest parties, Escape DeLux, an intimate club-in-a-club on the first floor with its own lighting and sound system and the Royal Room which you can book for private parties. Next to the club you will find Escape Caffé where you can have dinner before you head on to the club upstairs. For a total memorable clubbing experience you should definitely go here.

John Doe

Do you want to stay unknown?

A couple of buildings next to Escape, you will find this smaller Club John Doe. This relatively new club opened its doors in 2015 and is already one of the most popular clubs at the Rembrandtsquare. The name says it all, it wants to be mysterious, unknown and above all: different. Open five days a week, with every day a complete different music style.
